Finding Trending Songs and Audios to use on Instagram Reels is a challenge for multiple reasons, including:

Many viral Reels songs/audios come from TikTok, and are re-uploaded into Reels so they aren’t easily searchable due to a lack of name/proper credit to the original artist
Instagram doesn’t provide an easy chart or way to see what songs/audios are trending on Reels
Trends on Instagram Reels come and go very quickly, much like TikTok trends, so articles on supposed trending songs/audios for Reels become outdated really quickly

But while finding these trending songs is difficult, it’s not impossible.

The best way to get a feel for what’s trending is by scrolling through your Reels tab on Instagram to identify patterns and songs that frequently repeat.

We’ve found that the Instagram Reels algorithm loves repetition, so it’ll often serve you the same audio multiple times in a row, or within a short time frame.

Once you’ve identified the most frequently heard audios, tap on the audio icon in the bottom right hand corner.

This will take you to that specific audio’s page. If you see an upwards arrow on the number of Reels that have used the audio, then that is a good sign that the audio may be trending, or at the very least, growing in popularity.
